Apron conveyors are designed for the direct transfer of heavy, high-temperature castings in foundries. Fabricated from high-strength steel sections, they provide excellent durability under thermal and mechanical stress. Castings move on pan plates mounted on dual-strand chains operating over a stringer-supported track. Motion is provided by a direct-drive geared motor for improved torque efficiency. Conveyor ends feature robust sprocket assemblies for drive and idler functions, while a mechanical tensioning system ensures optimal chain tension and reduced wear. The system supports in-line degating, runner removal, and safe handling of hot castings with low noise, minimal maintenance, and optional variable speed or hood arrangements.
